St. Paul, Minn. (July 23, 2020) – Following a rigorous review process with nominations from around the globe, the Product Development and Management Association (PDMA) announced the 2020 Outstanding Corporate Innovator (OCI) Award finalists. Each finalist was chosen because of demonstrated sustained and quantifiable innovation success linked to disciplined practices and processes. The winner will be selected based upon the findings from extensive virtual site visits with all finalists.
This year our finalists came from a wide range of industries. Finalists are:
- Church & Dwight, a manufacturer of household and personal care products based in Ewing, NJ
- Medtronic, a medical device, technology, services, and solutions company based in the Republic of Ireland (operational and executive headquarters in Minneapolis, MN)
- Quality Vision International (QVI), a manufacturer of optically based dimensional measurement products and software products for the quality assurance of manufactured parts based in Rochester, NY
- Syngenta, an agriculture innovation company which develops agrochemicals to protect crops based in Basel, Switzerland
The OCI Award is the only global innovation award which recognizes sustained and quantifiable results from new products and services. This year marks the 33rd year in which PDMA has given this prestigious award, and past winners represent a group of global corporations widely recognized and respected for their innovation success.
This year’s winner will share the practices and processes which have contributed to its innovation success during a webinar this Fall. Due to the cancellation of the in-person 2020 PDMA Annual Conference, the 2020 OCI Winner will be formally recognized at the 2021 Conference in Baltimore.
