PDMA Announces 2019 Outstanding Corporate Innovator Winners

St. Paul, Minn. (October 23, 2019) – Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), a global association of innovation management professionals, announced the 2019 Outstanding Corporate Innovator (OCI) Award winners from a group of five impressive and formidable finalists. Two OCI committee members conducted full day site visits at each finalist, completing a detailed assessment of their innovation processes and results, to determine the winner.

The 2019 OCI Award winners are:

  • The Gorilla Glue Company, a manufacturer of adhesive solutions for do-it-yourselfers, crafters, woodworkers and professionals based in Cincinnati, Ohio, transformed their company by implementing innovation processes and practices and changed their culture in a short time delivering significant growth from innovation
  • Porex Corporation (Filtration Group), a manufacturer of porous polymer products based in Atlanta, Georgia, showed how their strong customer focus, processes and metrics are used to deliver strong growth through innovation by disrupting new categories.

The OCI Award is the only global innovation award which recognizes sustained and quantifiable business results from new products and services. This year marks the 32nd year PDMA has given this prestigious award, and past winners represent a group of global corporations widely recognized and respected for their innovation success.

The Gorilla Glue Company and Porex Corporation (Filtration Group) will be presenting their innovation processes and practices at the 2019 PDMA Competitive Edge: Disruption by Design Conference, on November 4 in Orlando, Florida.

Aaron Fromm, Marketing Director, and Kathy Hoelscher, Sr Director Research and Development from Gorilla Glue state, “We are extremely honored to follow the amazing companies who have won the prestigious Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award.
