The eight-week program will be held every Tuesday, from August 18 through October 6, 2020 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

We have schedule this training session in the hope that we will be able to hold in-person events in August. We will keep you posted on the final format as the start date approaches (based on the status of the coronavirus situation).

Event Description

PDMA Pittsburgh is excited to be offering the PDMA Body of Knowledge (BoK) Training Progam to the Pittsburgh product development community.

This comprehensive eight-week professional development program covers the fundamental principles of product development and can be applied to a wide-range of industries.

The curriculum is based on seven key Knowledge Areas that are covered in the PDMA Body of Knowledge - A Guidebook for Training and Certification:

  1. Strategy
  2. Portfolio management
  3. New products process
  4. Culture, organization, and teams
  5. Tools and metrics
  6. Market research
  7. Life cycle management
  8. Program review, certificate distribution

Each week, attendees will learn from Pittsburgh's top product development professionals who specialize in the specific area of study.

This training will be especially helpful to new product development professionals, managers, and members of product development teams that want to gain a greater understanding of new product development and management.
