Lean Innovation/Entrepreneurship to Drive Innovation in Large Companies

Join us on March 26th to hear Julie Gulick, CEO of Bally Design, discuss how to use lean innovation and entrepreneurship to drive innovation. Julie will share best practices and lessons learned associated with innovation, entrepreneurship, lean startup, and agile processes that she learned from her marketing, and innovation roles at MedRad and Philips. She will also share how she will apply her experiences and knowledge to her new role as CEO of Bally Design.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn the importance of entrepreneurial factors and how they can be harnessed to accelerate innovation
  • Appreciate the hurdles/challenges faced when setting up a lean start-up within a large company
    • Behavior change is incredibly difficult - old guard vs. new guard; fear of change/technology
    • Charting a new course in innovation practices (something that hasn’t been done before within the company)
  • Hear how to identify critical enablers required to drive a transformation in company’s innovation approaches
  • Understand how lean innovation/start-up can drive innovation in large companies
    • Revealing hidden insights with your customers
    • Uncovering new customers and market segments
    • Reframing the business model approach leading to new value drivers
  • Capture principles and best practices in relevant lean innovation and entrepreneurship that you can apply within your organization
  • Realize how to take the enablers and translate it into product development and commercialization
