Self Awareness in a Crisis: A Conversation with Kickstarter Co-Founder Yancey Strickler

PDMA Philadelphia Chapter & Temple University

Description

Join us for a discussion with Yancey Strickler, co-founder and one-time CEO of Kickstarter, the ground-breaking crowdfunding site that has raised nearly $5 billion for more than 180,000 projects since 2005. Yancey is the author of the book "This Could Be Our Future: A Manifesto for a More Generous World," and the creator of a philosophy called Bentoism. In this talk, Yancey will explore leadership and self-awareness in a crisis, teaching participants the importance of making consistent, coherent decisions, and providing a framework to do that. This talk will feature Yancey's experiences leading one of the most revolutionary new companies of recent decades and provide perspective on our current state of crisis.
