NPDP Certification
The PDMA New Product Development Professional (NPDP) Certification confirms mastery of new product development principles and best practices, enabling continual improvement in job performance and helping corporations identify those individuals with the knowledge and experience to move into leadership positions in the area of new product development. To qualify for NPDP Certification, candidates must meet the necessary criteria in education, experience and knowledge, and pass a comprehensive examination. Once you have obtained your NPDP Certification, you can maintain and expand your professional knowledge by acquiring sixty (60) Professional Development Hours (PDH) every three years to qualify for recertification. These PDH's can be achieved in a variety of ways including attendance at PDMA and other conferences.

OCI Award
The OCI Award is one of PDMA's highest profile programs. For the past nineteen years, PDMA has presented the OCI award to organizations that both exemplify the spirit of innovation and demonstrate the ability to consistently transfer their creative ideas into successful new products and services.
The award was developed with two objectives. First, to identify and pubicly recognize the excellence of companies that have been the most successful in continuously developing a stream value creating new products and services. The second, and equally important, rationale for the award is to provide a learning vehicle for the sharing of the winning firm's individual best practices with PDMA's general membership.
