Join the Buffalo Niagara Chapter of the Product Development and Management Association as the chapter hosts its Spring Innovation meeting with special guest speakers Dr. Gina O'Connor and NYS Assembly Member Dennis Gabryszak.

Professor O’Connor has published more than thirty journal papers, twenty-five conference papers, and more than 10 books and book chapters. She has been named one of the top twenty five scholars in the field of innovation in a study recently published in the Journal of Product Innovation Management. Her most recent book, Grabbing Lightning: Building a Capability for Breakthrough Innovation (Jossey Bass, 2008) describes a research program she has led for five years that focuses on how firms can develop management systems for innovation, leading to Innovation as a business function in companies.

In June of 2009, Assemblyman Gabryszak was named Chair of the Legislative Task Force on University-Industry Cooperation. The task force directs significant investments of state funds in research and development at universities, facilitating better cooperation between industry and institutions of higher learning.
