Abstract: Transportation is a key element of the economy, modern life, and the environment. This presentation will introduce a variety of student car projects including some that are out of this world. The presenters will share their system requirements, test methods, design philosophies, and team successes. You’ll also learn about upcoming competition events that you can attend to share in the excitement that comes when student teams compete.About the Presenters:
Alan Nye is Professor of Mechanical Engineering at RIT where he serves as advisor for the SAE Formula Team.Marty Gordon is Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at RIT where he serves as advisor for the SAE Baja Team.Ben Strohman is a 2007 Alumnus of Mechanical Engineering Technology at RIT and serves as advisor for the Human-Powered Vehicle Team.Scott Bellinger is Professor of Engineering Studies NTID at RIT where he serves as advisor for the Electric Bike Club.Program: 5:00PM Pizza and Wings Social (Pre-registration required)
