CHICAGO – The Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), the premier global advocate for product development and management professionals for forty years, is now accepting nominations for the 2017 Outstanding Corporate Innovator (OCI) Award. The OCI Award is the only innovation award that recognizes companies with sustained (five or more years) success in launching new products or services. The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, March 13, 2017.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, the OCI Award selection process has provided an excellent mechanism for identifying companies that create and capture value through product and service innovation. OCI Award winners have proven themselves exceptional in consistently transforming creative ideas into successful new products and capturing value through innovation. The 2016 OCI Award recipient was Xerox Services. Past winners also include Starbucks, FedEx Corporation and many more distinguished companies.
“The Outstanding Corporate Innovator Award recognizes companies who have achieved sustained success from innovation. Previous winners have demonstrated cutting edge innovation practices that are changing the game,” said Suzanne Thompson, Chair of PDMA’s OCI Selection Committee and Vice President R&D for Diversey Care at Sealed Air.
Nominees which pass the initial screen will be asked to complete a questionnaire detailing their new product or service development practices and innovation successes. Onsite examinations are held with the companies that reach finalist status. The winner(s) will be recognized to share their best practices at the 2017 PDMA Annual Conference in Chicago, Ill. in November 2017.
